Sometimes you only need very basic information on a potential business partner. You might be trying to find a contract manufacturer for a small project, or you might want to check that the company you’re planning to work with really does have the subsidiaries across China that it claims to have.

Sinogie’s basic company searches can fulfil this need. Our basic reports cost as little as US$ 150, and can be completed in one to five working days, depending on the jurisdictions.

A basic search lets you confirm that the target company really exists, and that it is properly registered. It also gives you information on the ownership of the company, and in some jurisdictions, it can give you some information on the company’s finances.

In Hong Kong, a basic company search contains the following information:

-	Full name, trading names and registered address
-	Names and addresses of shareholders
-	Names and addresses of directors and company secretary
-	Registered capital and ownership of shares
-	Any recent changes in shareholders, registered capital, or directors
-	Court actions involving the target company (optional)

In Mainland China, a basic company search contains the following information:

-	Full name and registered address
-	Registered capital and ownership of shares
-	Names of legal representative and senior manager
-	Type of enterprise (State-owned enterprise, Sino-foreign joint venture, etc)
-	Business scope (Chinese companies are only allowed to operate within a set business scope)
-	Number of employees
-	Limited financial information – turnover, balance sheet and profit (the accuracy of this information cannot be guaranteed)
-	Information on the company’s core operations
-	Information on whether the company is licensed to engage in import and export
-	Any recent changes to the above information
-	Whether the company passed its most recent Annual Inspection and is still registered with the local authorities.

-	A budget PRC company search costs US$ 400, and takes nine working days.
-	A standard PRC company search costs US$ 500, and takes five to six working days.
-	An urgent PRC company search costs US$ 650, and takes two to three working days.

If you only need very basic information on a company in Mainland China, we can provide you with a Mainland China Mini Report. Available only for major cities, a mini report allows you to quickly and economically establish whether or not the target company exists, and access the following key information:

-	Full name and registered address
-	Registered capital and ownership of shares
-	Names of legal representative and senior manager
-	Type of enterprise (State-owned enterprise, Sino-foreign joint venture, etc)

-	Date of last AGM
-	Date of last Annual Report as filed with the Singaporean authorities
-	Name of auditor
-	Charges against the company (such as mortgages)
-	Officers and agents: Name, address, nationality, ID number, position in the company, and date of appointment
-	Shareholders: Name, address, nationality, ID number, position in the company, date of last change of address, and size of shareholding
-	Information on any outstanding legal complaints against the company or its directors.
